Business Development Representative (GTM Engineer)

About the role
We’re looking for a modern-day BDR—what’s increasingly being referred to as a GTM Engineer—to bridge the gap between sales creativity and operational execution.
This is not a typical cold-calling role. Instead, you’ll design and deliver go-to-market campaigns end-to-end, using automation, data, and AI to create highly targeted, scalable, and effective outreach for our sales team.
You’ll work closely with our internal team and partners (such as Google) to:
- Source and refinetarget account lists from internal and partner-provided data.
- Enrich company and contact data to align audiences with our ICP.
- Refine sales plays and tailor messaging to specific verticals and personas.
- Build supporting sales collateral for those campaigns.
- Launch and manage campaigns in:
- Clay – lead sourcing and account enrichment
- HeyReach – LinkedIn automated outreach
- HubSpot – customer and prospect newsletters/updates
- Instantly – cold-email outreach
- Track performance, report insights, and recommend improvements.
- Manage inbound responses generated by campaigns.
- Support industry events and co-host webinars with the sales team.
You will be responsible for
On a day to day basis, you will
- Design and executemulti-channel outbound campaigns to target accounts.
- Build and maintain automated processes across our GTM tech stack.
- Follow CRM workflows to maintain clean, accurate data and reporting.
- Create and present performance reports to leadership.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing to align outreach with GTM strategy.
- Engage with prospects via email, LinkedIn, and other channels.
- Represent Cobry at trade shows, industry events, and webinars.
Skills that Matter (Hard Skills)
- CRM systems (HubSpot preferred)
- GTM-specific tools (Clay, HeyReach, Instantly)
- AI tools (Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude) for campaign building and personalisation
- Data enrichment and research capabilities
- Familiarity with automation platforms (n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar)
- SQL (preferred but not essential)
- Background in Business Development or Marketing

Comfort with ambiguity – You can take loosely defined problems and turn them into clear, actionable plans to GTM.

Your impact in this role will be evaluated on:
Pipeline generated – Number and value of qualified opportunities created through your campaigns.
Campaign performance – Engagement rates, meeting bookings, and conversion from outreach to opportunity.
Data quality – Accuracy, completeness, and relevance of enriched target account and contact data.
Execution speed – Ability to quickly design, launch, and iterate campaigns.
Collaboration impact – Positive feedback from sales and marketing stakeholders on campaign alignment and execution.
- Innovation – Measurable improvements to GTM processes, tools, or playbooks introduced by you.
What You Bring (Experience & Track Record)
2–4 years in BDR, Marketing, Sales Ops, or GTM roles—ideally in the fast-paced SaaS or tech industry
Proven track record of building and running outbound campaigns that deliver results.
Strong understanding of data-driven sales and account-based strategies.
Ability to translate business goals into operational systems and processes.
Excellent written communication skills for high-quality outreach and collateral.
Willingness to travel occasionally for events.
